Uma Jo Oliver

About:

Uma Jo has been practising and studying Yoga since 1997, and took Initiation with Swami Yogananda into the practise of Japa Mantra Yoga in 2000 and received her Sanskrit name ‘Uma’ meaning ‘the serene one’.

Uma completed her Integral Yoga Beginners Teacher Training in Asana and Pranayama with Sudasi in Bath in 2001. She feels blessed to share the teachings of Sri Swami Satchidananda, and took the Intermediate Teacher Training with Swami Asokananda in Portugal in 2005, and continues to increase her knowledge of Yoga to share with others.

She took Childrens Yoga Teacher Training with Jo Manuel in Dec 2005 and Early Years Teacher Training, parent/baby and family yoga with Sitaram partnership and the life centre in London in April 2007; Including a Pregnancy Integration module.

Uma has been studying with Mukunda Stiles on his Structural Yoga therapy Course since in April 2006. She continues to enjoy spreading the wisdom of Yoga and is currently teaching to all ages and abilities within the community within classes and one to one teaching and is acting as a director on the Integral Yoga UK council representing Somerset County.

Uma is a fully qualified Holistic Therapist practising Massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Therapeutic massage, Indian Head massage, Hopi Ear candles and Reiki healing.

M/ships: Uma is a Member of the Integral Yoga Teachers Association (IYTA), a member of the Representatives of Exercise Professionals (REP’s), a student member of the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) and a Member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and is fully certified and insured.
 
 

Abhaya Tricia Daniel

Abhaya Tricia  Daniel BSc (Hons) began practising yoga in 1978. She took initiation in 1997 and completed her Integral Yoga Teacher Training in 2001. Since then she has taught Extra Gentle Therapy Yoga classes at Doctor’s Surgeries and in the community, for students with health problems such as Arthritis, ME, Fibromyalgia, and Bad Backs. She also teaches beginners classes in Gyms and Sport Centres.

 

Abhaya teaches with Love and Compassion, and has a lot of empathy with people. Her gentle nature inspires and motivates her students.  Abhaya is committed to ongoing training and has been on a 2 day Structural Yoga Therapy course on Yoga for preventing Accidents and Injuries. She has also attended seminars on Fibromyalgia, Osteoporosis and Yoga for bad backs.

 

M/ships: Abhaya is a member of REPS (Register of Exercise Professionals) and is a student member of the British Wheel of Yoga. She also has Public Liability Insurance. She currently serves as treasurer of the Integral Yoga Bath Centre.
 
 

Nirmala Janie Woodward

Janie has been practicing yoga since 1996 and her love of Yoga and travel inspired her to take her Integral Yoga Teacher Training in Mexico in January 2007.

Janie is currently teaching Day and Evenings classes at the Minerva Centre, in Weston, Bath www.minervacentrebath.co.uk. Private yoga sessions are also available on request

Janie is passionate about yoga, nutrition, health and well-being and believes finding your balance of body, mind and spirit are key to health, happiness and living a full life.

Janie has been a Reflexologist since 2004; treatments available from her home in Trowbridge, at the Minerva centre in Bath or mobile service sometimes available in some areas, please ask.

Janie is furthering her development in natural health.  She is currently in the final year of study for a Diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition; this will be completed in July 2008.
